Robert Loyd McClain

Robert Loyd McClain passed away November 28, 2025 in El Paso, TX. He was born March 18, 1948 in Mineral Wells, TX.

Robert dedicated his whole life to aviation, demonstrating to his children that hard work and commitment is a noble trait to possess. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan, sporting the gear and playfully teasing that his team is better than yours. He had an everlasting love for his family including dear friends, Eddie and Johnny.

Survivors include his sister, Peggy Goodwin; his son, Jeffrey McClain and wife Kerri; daughters, Roxanne McClain Schultz, Katie McClain and Deanna McClain Hayes and husband Luke. His legacy continues with granddaughters, Isabella, Freya and grandson Arlo.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Friday, December 12, 2025 at Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Home in Mineral Wells, TX. Visitation will be an hour prior to services. Interment will follow at Whitt Cemetery.

Say not in grief 'he is no more' but in thankfulness that he was. He may not walk beside me, but I feel him in every decision, every breath, every heartbeat.
