Ronnie Lee Berkins

In Loving Memory of Our Brother, Ronnie Lee Berkins, who passed away May 13, 2026. He was born July 25, 1962 in Quincy, Florida.

Our brother carried silent pain throughout much of his life, quietly battling serious mental health challenges with a strength many people never saw. Behind every smile was someone fighting for peace, understanding, and wholeness. Despite the weight he carried, he remained gentle, loving, and deeply cared for those around him.

Our hearts are broken knowing we could not save him. We tried to always be there for him, but some battles are greater than what loved ones alone can heal. At times, we chose to believe he was okay because facing how deeply he was hurting felt unbearable. Still, he fought for as long as he could.

He will be remembered for his laugh, his heart, his kindness, and the light he brought into the lives of those who loved him. Though his struggles were heavy, they do not define the beautiful person he was.

Now he is finally at peace.

He leaves behind his daughters, Tameika Gasaway and Brittany Harris; his sons, Patrick Berkins and Kyson Berkins; and was preceded in death by his beloved son, Josh Dexter. He also leaves behind his siblings, Linda Burns, Annette Berkins, Lesa Berkins, Lisa Jones, Vanessa Berkins, and Henry Berkins, along with many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, extended family members, and loved ones who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

He will be deeply missed, endlessly loved, and never forgotten.
