Sandra Jean Mahan

Jesus has called another angel home! Sandra Jean Mahan of Mineral Wells, Tx  made her final trip to her eternal home April 27, 2024.

Sandra was born December 13, 1941 in Childress, TX. The daughter of Geneva and Ray Harris. Sandra had seven siblings and spent a lot of her youth growing up in Minnesota. She enjoyed life with her cousins. Later in her life she made her way back to the Texas Panhandle where she had her children; Ronda, Dwight, Lena, Belynda, and Paula. Sandra married the love of her life Elmer Mahan in August of 1976. Sandra lived for her family. Her and Elmer raised their kids in the Panhandle before relocating to Mineral Wells in 1980. They made Mineral Wells home and that’s where they raised their pride n joy, Miss Patty Kay Mahan! They shared each day guiding their children and grandchildren with love and grace.

Sandra enjoyed accounting and sales, and was often loved by her coworkers! She could often be found volunteering for those less fortunate and in need. She was a devout Christian and looked to our Savior daily. Her hobby was cooking, painting, and cake decorating!

Sandra is preceded in death by her parents Geneva and Ray Harris, husband Elmer Mahan, granddaughter Emery Kay Rittenbury, and cousin Linda Rae.

She is survived by her children Ronda (Norman) Brown, Dwight (Sandy) Mahan, Paula (Gary) Burney, Lena (Anthony) Rittenbury, Belynda (Rodney) Vick, and Patty Mahan; honorary child: Eric Mahan; her sister, Helen St.Clair; brother-in-law Bill (Margaret) Mahan, Ronnie Mahan, James Mahan, and Gladys Mahan; her best friend Gloria Jordan; grandchildren Dee (Melissa) Barton, Shelley Barton, Bridgett (Kevin) Hale, Summer Jenkins, Tootie (Ron) Hickman, Kenneth Oliver, Dan (Morgan) Oliver, Tyson (BreeAnn) Oliver, Micheal (Jessica) Reed, Jennifer Lassiter, and Lacey Washburn; numerous nieces and nephews.
