Shandie Lee Anne Hamilton

Shandie LeeAnne Hamilton, 22, of Perrin, Texas, passed away after her courageous fight with Neuroblastoma Cancer on November 25, 2022 in Fort Worth, Texas.

Shandie was the daughter of Lee Hamilton and Mindy Davis, Bonus Daughter of Kathleen Hamilton and Stepdaughter of Greg Davis. She was born January 10, 2000 in Weatherford, Texas. Shandie was a beloved daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, cousin, friend and mother to her sweet dog Bailey. Shandie was a high school graduate of Mineral Wells High School. In High School, Shandie played the saxophone in Band, showed heifers and steers in 4H and FFA, and was a Sports Trainer for the Mineral Wells Football and Baseball team. Shandie was the President of the Sturdivant 4H and held several officer positions with Mineral Wells FFA. One of Shandie’s greatest passions was her heifer and steer projects. She started showing after she went into remission at 10 years old and continued until she graduated high school. Her persistent dedication caring for her projects was recognized by winning several awards, including making the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo Sale her Junior and Senior year. She won several awards with her heifer projects including Champion Simmental Heifer in Austin and West Texas Fair and Rodeo, Reserve Champion Simmental at the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo as well as the Houston Stock Show and Rodeo. After high school, Shandie moved to College Station to pursue a career in education. She was in Kappa Christian Sisterhood Sorority focused on bible studies and always came with knowledge, kindness and a big smile while helping others in their walk with Christ. In her spare time, Shandie helped show her love for others through caring for the children of Christ UMC in College Station and at Brazos Christian School.

Shandie is survived by her parents Lee and Kathleen Hamilton and Greg and Mindy Davis, her brothers Braden Hamilton, wife Bailey and nephew Bryson and Frank Jackson, her sisters, Allie Hamilton and Marissa Davis, her grandparents, David and Minnie Hamilton of Perrin, Larry and Amy Harris of Crosbyton and Clyde and Rachel Jackson of San Antonio, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at 5pm at First Baptist Church of Mineral Wells with a time of celebration and fellowship immediately following.

In lieu of flowers, a Venmo account has been established in her honor called @shandiesgiving. The funds provided will be used to show appreciation for the dedication and nurturing of the nursing staff as well as to set up a scholarship fund for future kids in FFA.
