Sharon Ray Laycock McKinley

Sharon Ray Laycock McKinley, age 82, passed away peacefully on July 9, 2026.

Born on December 3, 1943, Sharon was a longtime member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Mineral Wells, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Artie Ray and F. Scott Laycock, and her great-grandson, Davey.

During her final weeks, Sharon was blessed with visits from her daughters and their families, lifelong friends, and members of her church family. Their love, prayers, support, and presence brought her comfort throughout her final journey.

She is survived by her four daughters and their families: Elise Norman, Husband Brad, Stacey McCallen, Colleen Taylor, Debra Stults, Husband Tony, Grandchildren, whom she loved dearly: Christine Maynor Burchsted, Husband Thomas, Chris Abbato, Mackenzie Bowden, Michael Bowden, Margaret Bowden, Husband Blake, Elizabeth Davis, Husband Eric, David Bowden, Wife Courtney, Zachary Bowden, Wife Patty, Andrew Norman, Conner Norman, Wife Elizabeth, Allison Norman, Michael Peters, Wife Emily, Jennifer Williams, Husband Scotty, Alexander Mey, Wife Ashley, David Hubbard, Wife Cayce, Greg Taylor, Wife Kimberly, Luke Taylor, Margo West, Ryan Reeves, Wife Ashlyn, Timothy Stults, She was also blessed with her great-grandchildren: Kylie, Ava Elise, Liam, Gavin, Aiden, Colin, Charlotte, Elijah, Ember, Katherine, Gabrielle "Ella", Gabe, Makaela, Madison, Alex, William, Mavrick, Arthur, Lucy, Theodore, Sherri Lee, Marabelle, David, Wyatt, Skye, Husband Dustin, Trenton, Abigale "Abby", Zade and Stetson.

A Rosary service will be held on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at 10:30 a.m., followed by a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Church (old chapel is on 3rd ave.) 108 NW 4th Ave., Mineral Wells, TX 76067.
