Sherry Jo Patterson

Sherry was born June 7, 1941, to Joe and Doris Patterson in Santo, Texas. Sherry passed away peacefully on October 5, 2024, in Weatherford, Texas.

Sherry lived with her parents in Santo and Mineral Wells until their passing. She then moved to Stephenville where she lived at The Rock House for 20 years. Sherry received excellent care and was happy living there. For the last two years she has lived at College Park Nursing and Rehab in Weatherford, Texas. Sherry loved the staff, and they loved caring for her.

Sherry loved her family, and she loved children, especially babies. Sherry loved dogs, especially chihuahuas. Sherry loved spending time listening to music and singing. Her hobbies were painting, crocheting, and watching the Dallas Cowboys. Sherry participated in Special Olympics and won medals for bowling.

Sherry was preceded in death by her parents and a brother John Patterson. She is survived by a brother Bill Patterson (wife Sarah) and nieces and nephews Nikki Patterson of Fort Worth, Casey Patterson (wife Amy) of Fort Worth, Rebecca Burks (husband Tyler) of Mineral Wells, Matthew Patterson (wife Sarah) of Mineral Wells. She is also survived by great nieces and nephews Shelby Bossaller, Beau Patterson, Joe Patterson, Luca Burks, Murphy Patterson, and Kobe Burks.

The family gives special thanks to the Medical City Weatherford staff for their compassionate care during her last few days.

Sherry’s funeral service will be at Baum Carlock Bumgardner Funeral Home at 2:00 pm on October 9, 2024. Burial will follow at the Bosley Cemetery in Santo, Texas.
