Stephen “Patrick” Schultz, 59, of Mineral Wells, Texas went to be with his Lord and Savoir on September 19, 2024. Patrick was a cherished individual known for his kind and harmonious personality. Born on October 6, 1964, in Mineral Wells, Texas, Patrick grew up in a household with his parents and six siblings. As a child, Patrick enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching TV, listening to music and cooking.
Patrick later joined Hughes Chapel CME Church and became a member of the choir where he sang with the most anointed voice. His favorite songs were “Your Grace and Mercy” and “I Won’t Complain”. Patrick had a passion for cooking. He worked as a chef for Shot Gun’s BBQ, Jimbo’s, and Brazos River Café. Patrick was a dedicated and hard working individual.
Patrick later met and fell in love with Gwen Smith and they were blessed with two beautiful children, Stephen Patrick (P.J.) and Brahynie Janae. Patrick loved nothing more than spending time with his children, whether it was hosting a special tea party for Brahynie and her friends or shopping with PJ for that special pair of cowboy boots.
Patrick was preceded in death by his parents, Roland Hayes Schultz Sr., Jean Alden Cottell Schultz and his little sister, Chrystal Evonne Schultz.
Patrick is survived by his children Stephen Patrick Schultz Jr. (PJ) and Brahynie Janae Schultz of Arizona, siblings Latitia Drenita Cade, Jennifer Athena Rollie, and husband Lowrance Sonja Michelle Brady and husband Terry, Maria McKinney, and Roland Hayes Schultz Jr. and wife Karen, all of Mineral Wells and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at the Mt. Hermon Baptist Church, 616 S.E. 4th Avenue, Mineral Wells, Texas.
