Viron Wayne Rogers, age 73, passed away on June 21, 2026, in the comfort of his home in Mineral Wells, Texas. He was born on September 4, 1952, in Graham, Texas.
Wayne went to school in Denton and later graduated with his degree from the Dallas Institute of Mortuary Science. He worked at Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Home in Mineral Wells, Martin Funeral Home in Granbury, Satterwhite Funeral Home in Breckenridge, and Boze Funeral Home in Waxahachie. At that time, he became a proud father to Jennifer and transitioned to work that didn’t require him to be on call. That is when he joined Diana’s father, Roy Milton, at Midtown Campers in Mineral Wells, which he later purchased and owned for 17 years. After retirement, he worked at Lowe’s in Weatherford.
Throughout his life, he built a legacy centered on faith, family, and service. On March 8, 1974, he married the love of his life, Diana Milton, and together they shared 52 years of love and devotion. Although Wayne enjoyed his work, he also found great pleasure in the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, and golfing. Above all, he faithfully served the Lord at Calvary Baptist Church as a youth director and music leader and was a Sunday School teacher and deacon both there and at First Baptist Church. He was truly a man of God, a steadfast pillar of the church, and loved deeply. Though he often served quietly behind the scenes, many were touched by his unwavering faith, wise counsel, humility, and selfless spirit. His sense of humor and playful nature brought joy to those around him.
Wayne is survived by his beloved wife, Diana; his daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Tom Seaton; his granddaughters, Breanna and Hannah; his four siblings and their families: Ida Sue Gonzales and husband Andy, Brent Rogers, Judy Rogers, and Sheila Simbeck and husband John. Survivors also include mother-in-law Joyce Embry, brother-in-laws Mike Milton and Scot Milton and family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oris and Dottie Rogers and father-in-law Roy Milton.
Visitation will be held at First Baptist Church of Mineral Wells one hour prior to the service, beginning at 1:00 p.m., on Friday, June 26, 2026 with the funeral service following at 2:00 p.m. A graveside service will immediately follow at Woodland Park Cemetery.
