Wanda Janice Bell

Wanda Janice Bell, 85, of Mineral Wells, passed away August 3, 2026. She was born on January 29, 1941 in Mineral Wells, to Virgil and Ethel Cox.

Wanda married Jim Bell in 1966, and they were married 34 years until his passing in 1999.

She leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue to live on through her family, which includes her children- Vickey (Don) Brown of Mineral Wells, Terry (Rickey) Downs of Granbury, Randie (Floyd) Gaines of Millsap, Jimmye (Michael) Quinn of Mineral Wells; grandchildren- Matthew Brown, Lisa Blackwell, Michael Chriestenson, Cody Chriestenson, Shannon Williams, Brittany Colston, Preston Downs, Jennifer Thomas, Kayla Gaines; great-grandchildren- Kaitlyn, Shanda, Emma, Mackinze, Kneely, Kade, Kensington, Lexington, Kohen, and Baby Hudson joining us in October; great-great-grandchildren- Roman and Murphy. She is also survived by her sister, Clara Smith, as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Ethel Cox; her husband, Jim Bell; four sisters, Bernice King, Elizabeth Lewallen, Beatrice Rich, Millie Scott; and one brother, Harlon Cox.

The family would like to thank the employees of Mineral Wells Nursing & Rehab, Alpha Omega Hospice and Gentiva Hospice. A special thanks to our sweet Kayla Sneed (Carter).

Graveside services will be 10:00 AM on Friday, August 7, 2026, at Staggs Prairie Cemetery.
