Weldon "Dean" White

Weldon “Dean” White went home to his eternal home in Heaven on February 5, 2026.

Dean was born on April 10, 1950, in Lawton, Oklahoma, to Weldon Winfred and Cleo Goldene White. Known as “Boonie” until his fifth birthday—when his parents finally put his name on his birth certificate—Dean spent his childhood and teenage years in Amarillo, Texas. He often said he got to Texas just as soon as possible, a statement that perfectly matched his sense of humor and love for the place he called home.

A gentle giant and a big ol’ teddy bear, Dean had a wonderful sense of humor and was always quick to make others laugh. He loved hunting and fishing and, in his younger years, enjoyed rodeoing. He was a strong and devoted family man who deeply loved his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Dean built a career that took him far and wide. As a truck driver, he traveled all over the United States—everywhere but Hawaii—seeing the country from the open road. For 15 years of his working life, he served as an insurance adjuster, a role he fulfilled with honesty, fairness, and dedication.

Beyond his work, Dean was a mentor to young men—not only to his own children, but also to family members and friends who looked to him for guidance. He was a kind soul who led with patience and corrected with worldly wisdom, always wanting the best for those around him. His quiet strength, steady advice, and caring heart left a lasting impression on many lives.

Dean married Donna Robinson on May 31, 1985, uniting two families into one. Their years together were filled with love, laughter, and, at times, sheer craziness—memories that will forever be cherished by those who shared them.

Dean was a devoted follower of Jesus Christ and will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandpa, brother-in-law, uncle, and friend. He will be loved and missed until the day all are reunited again in Heaven.

Dean was preceded in death by his parents, Weldon Winfred and Cleo Goldene White of Durant, Oklahoma; his brothers, Darryl Hagle of Las Vegas, Nevada, Jay Hagle of Ada, Oklahoma, and Ronnie White of Gilbert, Arizona; his daughter, Amee Parker of Amarillo, Texas; and his beloved daughter-in-law, Redaina Kaufman of Stephenville, Texas.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Robinson White of Mineral Wells, Texas; three daughters, Carole King of Weatherford, Texas, Wendy Sterndale of Bowie, Texas, and Cindy Jones and husband Shane of Fort Worth, Texas; one son, James Kaufman of Stephenville, Texas; older sister Anne Wilcoxen of Whitesboro, Texas; ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous other cherished family members and friends.

A memorial service will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 14, 2026 at the First Baptist Church in Mineral Wells.
