WiIlis "Sonny" Archer

Willis R. (Sonny) Archer, 76, passed away on February 9, 2025. He was the son of Willis B. Archer Jr. and Mildred Riley Archer on February 9, 1949 in Mineral Wells. 

Sonny attended schools in Mineral Wells and earned his GED. He proudly served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Korea. He was employed by Mrs. Baird Bread, O’Neal Distributing and the City of Mineral Wells. 

He was known to be a very kind and easygoing man. His kids and grandchildren always said that he was a pushover when it came to all kids and animals. 

He loved to fish, grill and tinker on old cars including a ‘49 Henry J. He especially loved his riding lawnmower that he customized with pin stripes himself. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Danny Archer. Andy Pewitt and former wife Janis Hearn. 

He is survived by, Mary Archer. Daughters, Stacy Rammage, Shannon Hay and Darcy Archer. Grandchildren, Olivia Junkins, Jeremy Junkins, Bradee Hay, Jared Rammage, Marissa Rammage, Kylie Pewitt, Jimmy Pewitt and Jason Pewitt. Nephew, DJ Archer and former wife, Linda Archer. Several cousins and great grandchildren.
