William C. Martin

William (Bill) C. Martin of Graford, TX, passed away on February 28, 2020 in Fort Worth, TX.

Rosary will be 6:00 PM, March 03, 2020 at Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner, 302 West Hubbard St., Mineral Wells, TX 76076.

Funeral Mass will be held 1:00 PM, March 04, 2020 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 14965 N. State Highway 16, Graford, TX 76449, with Father Thomas officiating. Reception at the Church hall will follow at the same location.

Bill was born in Longview, TX to William Lester and Gwen (Green) Martin on May 16, 1938. He attended Pine Tree High School and Kilgore College. He served in the National Guard as Sergeant E5 in the early 1960’s.    He married his wife Barbara (Bobbie), of 51 years on November 22, 1968 in Garland, TX. He worked as a Mechanical Draftsman for Texas Instruments for over 25 years. In his retirement, he was actively involved with St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church as a member of the Building Committee, and volunteered with the Possum Kingdom Fire & Ambulance Auxiliary for many years.

Bill is preceded in death by his children Charles Edward and Anne Marie.

Bill is survived by his wife, Bobbie: his children, Bill and his wife Michelle Martin of Austin, TX, Keith and his wife Beverly Martin of Tenaha, TX, Jonathan and his wife Claudine Martin of Austin, TX, Beth and her husband Matt Avery of Wimberley, TX: his brother John Martin of  Corona, CA: his grandchildren, Krystal, Kaylan, Kellie, Brittany, Logan, Audrey, and Braelyn; and his in-laws Ruth and her husband Lee White of Graford, TX, Bill and his wife Pat Thorogood of Garland, TX, and Linda Runyon of Pittsburgh, KS.

Memorials may be given to Possum Kingdom Fire & Ambulance Auxiliary.
